Webair, a provider of managed hosting services, recently announced the official opening of its new executive headquarters and flagship data center in Garden City, NY. The company says that termed 'NY1' , this state of the art data center was acquired from JetBlue and was formerly the center of JetBlue's flight operations. NY1 boasts over 50,000 square feet and was built with the purpose of delivering high density, reliable data center space.
It states that NY1 houses the company Network Operations Center which is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by onsite personnel and utilizes proximity cards and a biometric access control system. It is a modified Tier 4 facility with N+1 power and cooling infrastructure, Inergen gas-based fire suppression system and paralleling generators that provide redundant fault tolerant emergency power. NY1 meet-me-room offers clients direct carrier neutral connectivity to providers including Level3, Global Crossings, AboveNet, Lighttower, XO Communications and Verizon. Additional features include high density cabinets with flexible power configurations, disaster recovery seats, and a wide array of managed services.
The company claims that its commitment to enhancing service and support was recently highlighted with the launch of the Server Genius Support. Server Genius Support is made possible by a core of intelligent, highly trained, and dedicated team of technical engineers that always go above and beyond to support its diverse and growing client base. The company's newly expanded data center and advancements like Server Genius Support all work to maximize operating efficiency and provide the ultimate reliability for their customers.
