Nominum Names Chief Executive Officer

Gary Messiana will oversee corporate strategy and all operations as the company enhances its products to expand into new markets.

Nominum, a provider of network naming and addressing technologies, yesterday announced the appointment of Gary Messiana as the company's new Chief Executive Officer. Messiana, who has led a number of start-ups into high-growth markets, will oversee corporate strategy and all operations as the company enhances its products to expand into new markets. Messiana's appointment marks the beginning of a new path for customer relations and strategic partnerships for the company.

According to it, Messiana has been an entrepreneur-in-residence since 2008 at Bessemer Venture Partners, one of its investors, focused on evaluating investment opportunities in the software and Infrastructure-as-a-Service sectors. His background includes notable CEO positions with Netli and Diligent Software.
