eleven Releases eleven Archiving

Solution provides companies with long-term, audit-compliant, and encrypted storage of their original business email communication, while meeting legal guidelines.

eleven, an email security provider, recently announced the availability of eleven Archiving, an email archiving solution. The company states that the solution, which works in accordance with audit requirements, is compliant with the GDPdU (German Principles of Data Access and Auditing of Digital Documents), is a proprietary development, and offers practically unlimited scalability, making it ideal for companies of any size. It provides companies with long-term, audit-compliant, and encrypted storage of their original business email communication, while meeting all legal guidelines. Integration with the email security solution eXpurgate Managed Service ensures that only business-relevant messages are archived. eleven Archiving allows for archiving of both incoming and outbound email. The solution is available as an externally managed service, thereby freeing up company infrastructure.

According to it, eleven Archiving is designed for highest data volumes, unlimited scalability and maximum storage times. Archived data is always saved multiple times and in different locations. Archiving email on separate data centers ensures that a potential failure at one location can be offset, but even the partial failure of an individual system has no effect on the archived emails or access to them. eleven Archiving is designed to guarantee that there is no limit as to how long the email can be stored.

The company mentions that choosing a managed service saves companies from using their own hardware or system resources for archiving, while simultaneously eliminating any maintenance, upkeep, or administration - thereby making a contribution to company IT cost-efficiency. eleven Archiving is completely independent from the email system used, entirely maintenance-free, and requires no changes to the company's email infrastructure.

It explains that a special web interface gives users and administrators quick, easy access to saved messages using search functions and full text indexing. Users can search by sender or recipient, date, and keyword, as well as combinations of these criteria. Further security is provided by the 'four-eyes principle', whereby emails from co-workers cannot be opened without authorization by at least two administrators. the company exclusively uses data processing infrastructures within Germany for archiving, thereby giving companies the security that strict German data protection legislation is observed and that company data won't cross the country's borders.
