1&1 Internet Ltd, a web hosting company, today announced a new range of Dedicated Servers with 24 Core processors. The company claims that it offers a new web server option suitable for professional users with sophisticated demands for performance, reliability and energy efficiency. It avers that its new flagship server is the 1&1 DDC 3XL. The DDC comes with 2 AMD Dodeca-Core Opteron 6172 CPUs, 48 GB of ECC RAM, professional redundancy with RAID 5, 4 Terabytes of usable disk space and 2.1 GHZ clock frequency. The hardware power pack includes 24/7 administration and is priced from GBP 499.99/month+VAT.

The company explains that today it launches a further Value Range of Dedicated Servers with Hexa-Core processors. The 1&1 HC XL, starting from only GBP 199.99/month+VAT, provides 16 GB RAM and 1.5 Terabyte of usable disk space. At the heart of this new server model is a 6-Core AMD (Phenom II X6 1055T), with a 2.8 GHZ clock frequency that can be run up to 3.3 GHZ by innovative turbo-core technology. The boost takes place automatically, depending on operated capacity of the six cores. Its server portfolio is also expanded with the new 1&1 HC L server. The 'smaller brother' of the HC XL, also equipped with AMD's turbo-core technology, is priced from GBP 149.99/month+VAT, including 8 GB RAM and 1 Terabyte usable disk space.

It further explains that all new servers offered by the company are available in Linux or Windows configurations. Optional for the first time, users can order SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11. This operating system enables companies to manage even very complex IT infrastructures in a simple and highly efficient way. This can also be an alternative for developers who wish to run .NET applications on Linux. Furthermore, the packages include unlimited traffic meaning that successful web projects cannot be thwarted by cost risks associated with data traffic.
