Ptisp's customers will be able to secure websites, online transactions, web mail and other next generation online services using the company's SSL technology.
GlobalSign, a Certification Authority (CA) and provider of SSL Partner Programs, yesterday announced that AlmourolTec Lda - Ptisp, a hosting and domain registration provider, has joined its Partner Program. The partnership will allow Ptisp's customers to secure websites, online transactions, web mail and other next generation online services using the company's SSL technology.
The company claims that as a provider of SSL Certificates for around four years, Ptisp made the decision to switch to its Partner Program as demand in the Portuguese market for online security is at an all-time high. Ptisp was looking for a partner CA who could provide them with an all-round solution to meet specific customer security requirements, while helping raise awareness of online threats. As a partner, Ptisp will be able to resell the full range of feature-packed, high-security SSL Certificates and to benefit from the company's multilingual customer service and sales and marketing support provided via its European offices.
It articulates that the ease of integration and automation technologies were the main driver behind Ptisp's adoption of the company's SSL Certificate range. Ptisp will be implementing its latest OneClickSSL technology, which will allow their customers to activate secure sites in seconds, directly from their control panel. OneClickSSL rewrites the SSL paradigm by moving away from the traditional, long-winded and error prone process of SSL provisioning and replacing it with an automated 'click to Activate SSL' workflow. The automation will allow Ptisp to meet increasing demands for SSL, whilst reducing their technical support overheads as the process can easily be understood by customers of all technical abilities.
According to the company, the partnership will enable Ptisp to offer its full range of SSL Certificates, including fast issuance Domain Validated SSL, traditional Organization Validated SSL and the newly standardized Extended Validation (EV) SSL, which activates the green address bar interface in IE, Firefox, Opera, Chrome and Safari browsers. All its SSL Certificates are inclusive of basic Malware Scanning, have the option of including additional premium features (for example, Subject Alternative Names (SANs) and wildcard characters, to allow the securing of multiple sites with a single certificate) and are issued from the company's widely distributed 2048 bit Root CA Certificate.
