Queplix Introduces New Application Software Blades

New Application Software Blades in Virtual Data Manager enable companies to integrate social media data with internal corporate systems.

Queplix Corp., a provider of data virtualization, yesterday introduced three new Application Software Blades integrating social media sites and their content. It avers that organizations can now securely and automatically capture information from FaceBook, LinkedIn and Google Contacts and harmonize it with their own corporate data. The company claims that it is the first data virtualization solutions provider to bring packaged social media data integration capability into a standard product family for use in corporate data integration projects.

It explains that amidst the exploding popularity of social media sites, organizations typically struggle with how to incorporate and leverage the data within these communities for business gain. With the new social media integration capability, The company allows organizations to combine data from social media sources with internal information. This provides a new layer of intelligence to business-supporting functions that benefit from having greater visibility into market opinion and demand.

The company further explains that unique Application Software Blades enable its Virtual Data Manager platform to securely connect to many different source applications and data. The new Application Software Blades for social media can identify and extract key metadata and associated security information from FaceBook, LinkedIn and Google Contacts, then bring it into the Queplix Engine to support data integration with any existing or new corporate applications. The new social media functionality in Virtual Data Manager showcases its ability to integrate data from multiple sources and then keep it harmonized as changes occur. The architecture of the Virtual Data Manager drives the application and data integration process. The product can manage a simple integration between two applications or scale easily to integrate many multiple instances of complex applications.

It mentions that in addition to the new social media blades, the company also offers Application Software Blades for customer relationship management applications such as Siebel, SalesForce.com, and many other on-premise and cloud-based applications. Additional Application Software Blades will be made available to support business critical functions as the company extends its integration capabilities across many applications. The company adds that its Virtual Data Manager application blades for FaceBook, LinkedIn and Google Contacts are available for shipment immediately.
