ViaWest Hires New GM in Salt Lake City

Hires Daren Castain to lead its regional growth efforts in Utah.

ViaWest, a provider of managed hosting solutions, today announced the hiring of Daren Castain as Regional Vice President and General Manager for the Utah market. As GM, Daren will lead the company's efforts in sales and operations for the region's seven data centers, four of which were recently acquired through acquisitions of Consonus and SingleEdge.

It articulates that Daren, a graduate of the University of Utah, has a wealth of industry experience and knowledge, working in management positions regionally for both XO Communications and Verizon Business (formerly MCI). The company is looking to leverage his experience to enhance the local customer experience, and address the growing requirements in one of the country's strongest emerging data center markets. It currently operates 20 data center facilities which span Colorado, Texas, Nevada, Oregon, as well as Utah.
