Alert Logic Partners with Datapipe

Partnership provides Amazon Web Services customers access to managed services.

Alert Logic, a provider of log management, intrusion detection and cloud security solutions for enterprises and service providers, yesterday announced the limited availability of the first fully managed advanced network security solution in Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) environment. The result of a joint development program with Datapipe, a provider of managed IT services, the company's managed network security solution for Amazon EC2 environments addresses the pressing challenge of network based intrusion detection, a key requirement for PCI compliance.

The company states that initially, its managed network security solution for Amazon Web Services will be offered exclusively through Datapipe's Managed Cloud offering. Through the Datapipe Managed Cloud, its fully managed intrusion detection solution supports elastic scale-out deployment and automated provisioning and dynamic network addressing. It fully integrates with the company's Security Operations Center (SOC) services, which provide 24/7 monitoring and expert human guidance. These fully managed network security capabilities enhance Datapipe Managed Cloud's all-inclusive suite of managed services featuring architecture and design, forklifting, 24x7x365 technician-based monitoring and management, patching and OS maintenance, auto-scaling and self-healing enablement, and change management.
