Layered Tech Names Jeff Reich New Chief Risk Officer

Layered Technologies, Inc., a provider of on-demand IT infrastructure, yesterday named Jeff Reich as the new Chief Risk Officer. With more than 30 years of security, risk and compliance expertise, Reich will further expand the company's position in providing compliant cloud, dedicated and hybrid hosting environments. Reich will deliver significant value to its clients, whose compliance needs are growing in areas such as PCI DSS and HIPAA.

The company mentions that Reich has extensive experience in cloud computing. Most recently he served as the director of operations for the Institute for Cyber Security (ICS) at The University of Texas at San Antonio, where he developed and led its cloud computing security research lab. Reich is a Distinguished Fellow of the Information Systems Security Association, a founding member of the Cloud Security Alliance, and he has held Certification in Homeland Security at Level III (CHS-III) since 2005.
