Marv Steigman brings to the company extensive experience in subscription-oriented technology brands.
CloudLinux Inc., a software company dedicated to serving the needs of hosting service providers, yesterday announced that Marv Steigman has joined the company as its new Vice President of Marketing. Formerly a Group Director of NTL (now Virgin Media) in the UK, Steigman brings with him extensive experience in subscription-oriented technology brands.
The company mentions that in his new role, he will take responsibility for developing CloudLinux into a universally recognized brand within the shared hosting space. Steigman will do this by effectively communicating the company's vision through advertising, brand management, media relations, and trade show presence. He will also apply his experience managing a recurring-revenue customer base to the rapidly expanding CloudLinux community assuring that as the customer base increases they continue to receive the enthusiastic care that they have become accustomed to as valued CloudLinux users.
It avers that upon joining the company, Steigman will focus on three priorities including placing its focus on shared hosts, strengthening partnerships between shared hosts and control panels, and introducing a new messaging campaign making it easier for potential users to recognize the benefits of CloudLinux. The company most recently announced a partnership with cPanel, a provider of Linux and Windows server automation. As a result of this partnership, cPanel now offers on-demand cPanel/CloudLinux synchronized licenses to Partner NOCs and direct customers with pay-per-usage delivery.
In announcing the news, CloudLinux Founder and CEO Igor Seletskiy stated, "With the addition of Marv Steigman, CloudLinux continues to position itself for growth as we aim to become the premier operating system used by shared hosting companies, providing them with the most stable shared-tenant environment possible."
