LeaseWeb Deploys HP ProLiant Servers in Data Centers

The new servers deliver increased performance and capacity to support rapid business growth.

HP, a technology solutions provider, yesterday announced that LeaseWeb, a hosting provider, has implemented HP ProLiant server technology in its data centers in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, as well as at its newest facility in Virginia. The new servers deliver increased performance and capacity to support rapid business growth.

The company articulates that LeaseWeb has already deployed more than 15,000 HP ProLiant servers across its data centers. With the opening of its new U.S. data center, and in response to increased customer demand for server outsourcing, LeaseWeb is adding 5,700 HP ProLiant DL 120 G6 and HP ProLiant DL180 G6 servers to meet its burgeoning global workloads. The new HP ProLiant servers will provide LeaseWeb with greater processing speed and significantly improved system operations.

It claims that the HP ProLiant DL server series are low-cost, high-capacity, storage-optimized servers that deliver high density for a variety of rack deployments and applications. The server installation will allow LeaseWeb to manage its extended IT environments for hosting, while improving its customer response time and overall satisfaction levels.

"As our business expands, so does our need to keep pace with user demands, as well as offer new services, while providing a fast, powerful and secure hosting environment," said Con Zwinkels, Managing Director, LeaseWeb Netherlands. "HP ProLiant servers have increased our application performance and enabled faster time to solution to meet our business challenges while delivering improved operational efficiency."
