Company announces expansion of Tampa-based data center with FlexCloud Servers for disaster recovery and redundancy.
Hostway Corporation, a web services provider, today announced an expansion of its 18,000 square foot Tampa, Florida-based data center to include FlexCloud Server services. The company now operates 12 data centers throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.
It says that the company's secure and reliable FlexCloud Servers will now be supported in both the Austin and Tampa data centers. Having multi-location support allows the company's customers to select a preferred geographical location to provision their cloud services. The Tampa facility will offer a disaster recovery and redundancy option for clients who desire to protect data and applications from single location failures.
The company mentions that with cloud services in separate geographic areas, customers can further protect their applications from the failure of a single location. The expansion also provides lower latency connectivity for users in the US Eastern regions. It has setup identical cloud infrastructures in both locations allowing the company to offer an array of services at the same price points. Customers can manage the two data center regions with a single control panel, providing ease of use and continuity.
According to it, FlexCloud Servers are a scalable, on-demand cloud computing solution with public cloud reliability and enterprise-grade performance. With 100 percent server uptime and automatic recovery/failover, FlexCloud Servers offer unparalleled data security and peace of mind for clients. They feature on-demand scalability with Windows and Linux servers that are completely customizable through administrator access.
"Our Tampa data center provides our clients with the ability to easily provision secure cloud services in multiple locations for disaster recovery and redundancy," said Todd Benjamin, Vice President of Enterprise Hosting for Hostway. "This expansion is a part of our goal to introduce our secure and reliable FlexCloud Servers throughout North America and to further build our global presence."
