Nimbula Partners with Supermicro

Partnership enables the company to provide an easy path to deploy private and public cloud solutions.

Nimbula, the cloud operating system company, today announced that it has partnered with Supermicro Computer, Inc., a manufacturer of servers and enterprise storage systems, to enable 'Plug and Go' deployments of private or public cloud solutions.

The company articulates that as customers look to implement cloud computing solutions, they struggle to understand the architectural and operational impacts of what it means to build a private or public cloud, especially when it comes to hardware compatibility and requirements. Now customers can purchase Supermicro servers and bundles optimized for the Nimbula Director platform so they can benefit from the same IT trends, architectural assumptions and best practices which underpin the most successful public clouds in the world.

It avers that based on the company's Cloud Operating System technology, Nimbula Director delivers Amazon EC2-like services to both enterprises and service providers with high levels of scalability, automation, fine grained identity control and next generation networking. Allowing customers to efficiently manage both on- and off-premises resources, Nimbula Director quickly and cost-effectively transforms hardware into Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS).
