Kerns brings significant leadership experience within the enterprise managed hosting industry to the company.
Logicworks, a provider of enterprise hosting and cloud computing for high-availability applications and content, yesterday announced the appointment of George Kerns as the company's Chief Executive Officer. Kerns brings significant leadership experience within the enterprise managed hosting industry to it along with a track record of successful senior management positions dating back to the birth of the commercial internet.
The company avers that most recently, Kerns served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Fusepoint Managed Services, an enterprise hosting provider for companies with applications requiring the highest levels of security and availability. In his role as CEO, he led the company to substantial year-over-year growth and margin expansion from 2005 through its successful sale to Savvis in 2010.
It says that Carter Burden, the company's Founder and Chief Strategy Officer, who served as CEO from 1993 through 2010, will continue in his current role as Chief Strategy Officer. Kenneth Ziegler will also continue to serve as President and Chief Operating Officer. Kerns will join Burden, Ziegler, and Bill Luby of Seaport Capital on the company's Board of Directors.
